Seven people have been arrested for beating a 21-year-old Feyenoord fan during a Rotterdam friendly match against Lyon (0-2) in July this year. The victim, who was present at the match with his 16-year-old brother, among other things, was insulted and beaten.
The younger brother managed to buy two tickets for the match against Lyon on July 24 with the accumulated money. The brothers live in Groningen and have been fans of Feyenoord for many years, but rarely have the opportunity to visit the stadium. The older brother wore sweatpants with the logo of the football club Groningen to the game.
About half an hour after the start of the match, about seven Feyenoord fans approached the 21-year-old. They beat him, insulted him and pushed him hard, as a result forecast by watch livescore of which he fell between the seats of the stands. In the process, one of the suspects pulled off the man`s pants and took them away.
The younger brother felt extremely intimidated, police said.
After that, at the exit from the stadium, insults and pushes continued. The guy reported the incident, after which an investigation was launched.
Seven suspects, aged 22 to 39, have been identified. All of them were detained and interrogated. At the end of the investigation, the prosecutor will decide who will answer to the judge.
